This Privacy Policy explains how AO WebDev ("we", "our", or "us") collects, uses, and shares information when you visit aowebdev.pro, contact us, create an account, or engage us for web design and development services (the "Services"). AO WebDev is a web development studio based in Utah, United States.

We built this policy to be readable. If anything is unclear, email us at alex@aowebdev.pro and we'll explain.

What We Collect and Why

We only collect what we need to provide the Services and run our business.

  • Contact details you give us. When you fill out our contact form, request a quote, or email us, we collect your name, email address, and anything you choose to include in your message — so we can respond and discuss your project.
  • Account information. If you create an account or client dashboard login, we store your name, email address, and a securely hashed password. We never store your password in plain text.
  • Billing information. When you subscribe to a plan or pay an invoice, payments are processed by our payment processor, Stripe. Stripe handles your card details directly — we do not see or store full card numbers. We retain limited billing records such as plan, amount, and transaction status.
  • Project materials. Content you send us for your website (text, images, logos, brand assets) is stored so we can build and host your site during the engagement.
  • Usage and device information. Like most websites, we automatically collect basic technical information such as IP address, browser type, pages viewed, and referring pages. We use this to keep the site secure, understand how it's used, and improve it.

How We Use Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • provide, operate, and maintain the Services;
  • respond to your inquiries and communicate with you about your project or account;
  • process payments and manage subscriptions;
  • secure our systems and prevent fraud or abuse;
  • analyze and improve our website and Services; and
  • comply with our legal obligations and enforce our agreements.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing.

Cookies and Analytics

We use essential cookies to keep you signed in and to remember basic preferences. We may also use privacy-respecting analytics to understand aggregate site usage. You can control cookies through your browser settings; disabling some cookies may affect how the site works.

When We Share or Disclose Information

We share information only in these limited situations:

  • Service providers. We use trusted vendors to operate the Services — for example, Stripe (payment processing), Resend (transactional email), and our cloud hosting and storage providers. They may access information only to perform services for us and are bound to protect it.
  • Legal reasons. We may disclose information if required by law, or to protect the rights, safety, and security of AO WebDev, our clients, or the public.
  • Business transfers. If AO WebDev is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, information may be transferred as part of that transaction; we will notify you of any change in how your information is handled.

Data Retention

We keep personal information for as long as your account or engagement is active and as needed to provide the Services. After that, we retain information only as long as necessary for legitimate business purposes — such as resolving disputes, maintaining records, and complying with legal obligations — and then delete or anonymize it. You may request deletion of your information at any time (see below).

Security

We take reasonable measures to protect your information, including encryption of data in transit and hashing of passwords. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to safeguard your data and to respond promptly if an issue arises. If you discover a security concern, please contact us at alex@aowebdev.pro.

Your Rights and Choices

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

  • access the personal information we hold about you;
  • correct inaccurate information;
  • request deletion of your information;
  • object to or restrict certain processing; and
  • opt out of marketing communications at any time.

To exercise any of these rights, email us at alex@aowebdev.pro and we will respond within a reasonable timeframe. We do not sell or "share" personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising as defined under California law, and we have not done so in the past 12 months.

Children's Privacy

The Services are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.

International Visitors

We are based in the United States and process information here. If you access the Services from outside the U.S., you understand your information will be processed in the U.S., which may have different data protection laws than your country.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the date at the top and, where appropriate, notify you. Your continued use of the Services after changes take effect means you accept the updated policy.
